On June 26, Sunday, "The 5th Bible Preaching Event 2005" was held at the Okcheon Training Institute. 1,500 members who passed the preliminary test on the 5th of June attended this event. It was held at the Auditorium and at the Education Hall and was very competitive.

The attendants arrived at the institutes early in the morning to show how hard they had been sharpening the sword of the words of truth. They said with delight, "We want to please God by our fervent preaching and reveal God's glory to the whole world." Even though it was very hot, hitting around 30C, the men members smiled on.

Before the preaching competition started, Mother prayed Father to bless the men members with abundant blessing of the Holy Spirit and She gave them the spiritual power, hope and will for the gospel work. Mother also commended them for their labor because they were working diligently for God's glory at work, at home and at the Church as the prophets, coping with the recent economic crisis.

Mother emphasized the words in Ephesians 6:10 and let them realize what kind of mind they had to have as the children of God in these days. Mother said, "This age is full of falsehood and evil. So if you don't put on the full armor of God's word, you will be like the soldiers who attend a war without any gun nor sword. You must put on the full armor of the words of life and be alert and self-controlled all the time so that you can keep watch on the devil who opposes the truth. You must reveal God's glory with good deeds." Mother also requested them to carry out the duty of God's ambassadors who are entrusted with the last missionteaching all nations to obey the truthin this age when many nations are coming to the Land of Prophecy to learn God's sweet and mysterious words of truth.

The men members kept the Mother's earnest request in their minds and responded "Amen," in a loud voice. After the worship, the main preaching event began. From the middle of the worship it began to drizzle, and when the main preaching event began it was showering. The auditorium which was filled with the members' fervor could be cooled down by the rain Father poured down abundantly. The shower seemed to be the blessing of the Holy Spirit and the ability of the word from God the Father.

243 groups with 6 members in each took part in the event at the Auditorium and the Education Hall. They kept practising preaching with the Bible which is a sword or a gun for the spiritual soldiers. They said, "We are nervous but we will do our best, believing that God will help us. We will depend not on our abilities, but on God's help."

The auditorium which burned for 2 hours by great fervor for the gospel became quiet as the preaching ended. The markers commented favorably on the men members' preaching, saying, "The men members' preaching is getting better and better. They seem to preach better than us overseers who have been preaching sermons on the platform for several years." While their results were being marked, they watched a video and renewed their resolution for the gospel. The time for the awarding ceremony came. Whenever the name of an awardee was called, all the members clapped delightfully as if their names had been called. They said, "We will try harder next time and receive the prizes."

20 members received the prizes, extra prizes and bunches of flower from God. They couldn't conceal their joy, saying, "These prizes we received are for the whole men members. We think there is God's will in giving us these that we have to testify to God diligently under any circumstance we face. We will do our best to save souls by putting on the full armor of God's words and by obeying Mother's words."

And other members who were not rewarded also showed their resolution that they would be the ambassadors of God, the messengers of the new covenant, who preach the truth of God to the ends of the earth whether people listen or fail to listen, as Mother had taught them. Just as the leaves and grass become lively by the shower, this reporter hope that the men members will be the prophets full of life power who can deliver the water of life to the whole world by putting on the blessing of the Holy Spirit of the latter rain.
